The MIDI tracks integrated into the game files are, naturally, from The Price of Loyalty. The only difference are in the town themes (tracks 5-10). The Heroes II CD in this collection has another quirk: it contains a full copy of Heroes II Gold (all original and expansion maps, campaigns, as well as the 31 new maps), but the audio tracks are from the original version ( The Succession Wars) and not from The Price of Loyalty. Both CDs have the “DVD-ROM” logo on them – a rare example of mislabeled media type in a commercial release. Sadly, the DOS versions are still not included. This indeed turned out to be the case, which is awesome, and makes it the only version of the 2007/2011 collections featuring CD audio for Heroes / Heroes II. When I first learned of the Mastertronic release, I suspected that a single disc was dedicated to each of the first two games, so that the Redbook CD audio tracks could be included. Released exclusively in the UK by Mastertronic games, it comes not on 3, but on 4 discs, and the games are split differently: Heroes and Heroes II are on one disc each, the third disc combines Heroes III and Heroes IV, and the last one is Heroes V + both expansions, like in all other releases. The one version that stands out is the topic of this write-up. The Australian release even reused the old Heroes of Might & Magic Complete Edition branding on the media (although not on the box). I assume that the content of the DVDs in all of these is largely identical to the 2007 collection. The other two DVDs contain Heroes IV and the first 3 games on a single disc, respectively. Most releases of the 2011 collection reduced this number to 3 – the Tribes of the East expansion for Heroes V was merged onto the same disc with the base game and the Hammers of Fate expansion. The 2007 Complete Edition included 4 game DVDs. A French release also exists (all games in French), as well as a Hungarian one (only the first 3 games and their expansions, in English). Most releases were in English, and included all 5 games + 7 expansions as mentioned above. ![]() It was released around the world, seemingly excluding the Americas. This collection was similarly renamed to Might & Magic: Heroes Collection. The series was slightly rebranded for the sixth title- not Heroes of Might and Magic VI, but rather Might & Magic: Heroes VI. ![]() In 2011, to rekindle interest in the series for the upcoming Heroes VI game, Ubisoft re-released the 2007 Complete Edition collection of the first 5 games, without all the extras – just the games, in a modest compact DVD keep-case package, styled after the 2007 release.
